How many nerite snails in a 20g?

My 20g tank is about to finish its cycle. I've got some green hair algae on my LR. How many nerite snails do you suggest I start out with? There is no LFS where I live so I have to get the snails shipped to me. Because of the shipping cost I'd rather not get too few of them so I have to make another order. Only nerites are available to order atm.

I don't think nerite snails will eat hair algae. I might add 4-5 in that size tank. It's not a large system, and they'll starve if too many are added.

Thanks.
Will they stay on the glass most of the time maybe? If so, I'll pick up 4 now and wait till the guy I'm ordering from gets some other type of snails / hermits for the sand/ rocks.

I don't know. There are many species of nerite snails, so it's hard to guess. Mine spent a lot of time on the glass, but you might get a different species.

I just bought some of these. They like to climb above the water line although none have escaped yet.

Mine are not just the glass, but also the rocks. Also, they seem to have a taste for cyano which is why I bought them and it seems true. I'd get 20. More if you have a lot of rock.

I don't know if this is true in general, but I have a 29g on the same water system as a 110, 100, & 220. The 29 is by far the dirtiest tank. I keep upping the snail count.
