lougotzz 75 gallon build thread.

Well my 3rd tank in and Ive decided to make a build out of it. This is also my first tank that isnt a nano.

Tanks specs are 48x18x19 rimless advance acrylic aquarium with rounded front corners and trapezoidal over flow.

Sump is really simple, two chambers, one for skimmer one for return.

I have an 8 bulbs 48'' 54 watt tek light.

MSX 200 for my skimmer.

Vortech MP40 and Vortech MP20 on back wall for power heads (Mp40 is in the mail)

Mag 9 return.

Tank is going to have mostly SPS, anemones, and clams.

Ill be using Estes marine sand, and I think ive decided on cured fiji prom PA.

For fish I want 1 yellow tang, pair of pecula clowns, some blue green chromis and either a flasher wrasse or leopord wrasse.

Here are a few pics of the tank dry:

Actinics only:

Daylights:

Full shot:

Sump and equipment:

and ill update as I move foward. Thanks for looking.

Mmk. I should probably be the last person to make a build thread. I update nothing. If an accountant saw my check book they would probably cry.

There have been a couple of changes since my initial post. First off youll notice I did not like the stand that I had lieing around so I decided not to use that, and built my own. I am still waiting on the doors from a cabinet shop, so for now you get to see how I have no room for a calcium reactor, or top off resevoir.

I got my aqua scaping done, I used BRS reef saver rock and estes marine sand. That estes marine sand is awsome. It does not cloud the water.

Ill add another photo in a day or so, so you can see it when it clears up. Im very pleased with this aqua scape.

My left vortech decided not to work when I plugged it in. So I am going to see if I can send it in to ecotech for servicing, and than I will ahve it upgraded to an MP40 like the other one on the right side. The amount of water that one pump can move around is unreal.
