Got my skimmer partially installed. I glued the gate valve assembly together and waiting to dry, probably tomorrow. Then drilled the skimmer so the water draining from the tank goes directly into the body of the skimmer via a spiral drain hose. I use a uniseal as a fitting that seals the connection between the hose and the hole in the skimmer. I also need to put the collection cup on the skimmer.

Here's the skimmer going. It will take some time to break-in. I also put the return pump (mag 2) into the sump and opened the ball valve on it for more flow.

Now I will clean the tank walls inside and out and get the Vortech going.

Sadly this is the end of this thread because I'm starting a new thread in 2010 with the same DT. This will be a stock thread since most of the build phase is over.
