ro filter not working fast enough
hi everyone, the production of water from my ro has slowed down.first i thought it was my carbon blocks.i changed them.now i think its the cold water from the tap.i didnt have the problem in the summer.should i turn on a little warm water?is this a common problem?the only problem i see is that the ro is in the basement and the tap does not mix the water evenly.im afraid that the water may get too hot and ruin the ro membrane.what do you think?

Do not mix hot water with the feed supply, you can easily ruin the membrane that way. If you cannot wait, a booster pump may provide some relief from the colder feed temperature if you are not running the spec pressure to the system.
Others have coiled up long distances of feedline to give the water a chance to warm up before entering the system. |
