I prefer the Oolitic Select sand. The Special Grade Reef sand is just too big of a grain for me. To each his own!

My main concern is whether the MP40s will stir up the sand. I'm not sure which size to use to avoid this.

Oops I ment to say would NOT blow around with vortechs.
This is a great substrate to use with vortechs.

I've got nothing but special grade in my 150, with 2 MP40s. It doesn't blow around at all.
