I think I will put this on my Christmas list to Santa. Probably go with the Reef Keeper Lite Level #1. Thanks

rick, not sure the size you want, or if you want a true sump, but nice little thing I threw together, DIY thread here.

I had a sea swirl and I agree with James, you'll like a vortech much better. You're even better off with a closed loop than a sea swirl. My vortech provides flow for the top, middle and bottom layers of the tank and it's also programmable which I haven't even started to experimented with but it'll be a lot of fun.

i already have the vortech 20, the seaswirl would be in addition to that for a more randomized flow the vortech will be set to short pulse for whatever wave action i can get out of it @ 24 inches long and 30 gallons im sure it will produce more of a wave than it did on my 40 breeder

I've got a 10 gallon sump and a 5 gallon sump linked together via vinyl hose. The 10 gallon houses the skimmer and I'm thinking of having a cryptic fuge in there too. The 5 will have chaeto under a drip tray and all the other equipment. Linking sumps together like that gives you simplicity and endless possibilities.

I've got a seaswirl on my standard 29 and love it. I have a Y on the output so it sweeps 180 degrees.

I checked out the sea-swirl site for powers2001. I didn't know you could mount one on the front. I had mine mounted on the back of the tank and it just swept the front glass. If mounted on the front of the tank it'll sweep the corals and liverock.

Oh. In that case I might mount my sea-swirl on the front of the tank instead. I want it to sweep the corals instead of the glass.

Thanks cherub!
