skimmer help!!!

my last thread was about skimmers and i was trying to figure out what type of skimmer i had so that i could get some help in trying to operate it.. i finally figured it out is called a venturi type skimmer does anyone know how to get it started???

all venturi skimmers are not the same. The best thing you can do is figure out the company that made it, maybe you will get more responses that way.

well thanks and so is the skimmer supposed to be always on?

You might get SOME mixed opinions on this answer. ALMOST everyone has them on 24/7. Really, there is no downside to having them on 24/7. If there is no protein to skim, they simply won't skim. Mine is on 24/7
