Options for connecting a sump

Has anyone used the Eshopps Overflow Boxes or something similar? Thinking of the possibilities of doing a sump for a new 55 gallon aquarium but do not have holes and do not want to drill holes. If anyone has used one of these or something similar, let me know what works good. Also, what is a good sump to use or size?
