Heater?
So currently I have a 100watt heater for my 30gal. I am upgrading to a 75gal. What watt/heater should I get. Keep in mind that I have a 100watt and 50 watt heater. Will I need more?

it depends. 1, what temp will the room be at when it's in? 2, will you be using the current 30 gallon for your sump? 3, what temperature do you want/expect to keep your tank at?
No matter what those answers are you will need more heat. How much can vary. It would probably be a good idea to reuse the 100 watt heater, but with answers to those questions above, we might be able to give you a better answer. |

Thanks! Well I normally keep my house temp at about 70. I built a new 20 gallon sump for this 75gallon tank. I also want to keep my water temp around 77-79 degrees. Hope this helps.

Get another 100W and you should be fine.

I would setup you new 75g system with your existing 100w + 50w and see how it does. Depending on the temp changes in your house you might be ok with what you have.
You can always add another 100w heater if your existing heaters wont cut it.
