Too Much Light for 75 gallon tank

Is two 250 Watt Metal Halide too much for 75 gallon tank? It seen to kill all of my coralline from the the live rock.

Sounds perfect to me, that what I run Is there glass under the bulbs. Sometimes that is there to protect from UV rays. Its been known when people removed the glass or it got cracked to bleach corals.

I run 2 400 watt halides on a 75 so 250's shouldn't be causing your problems.

yeah no problem there, I'm using close to 800 watts on top of a 7 with metal halides and VHO T5's combined.

glass shield is only needed on DE bulbs.

Coraline hates light, good news is it will usually come back in a different color that like the light more. usually a pink or red.
