Oceanic Biocube Question
Has anyone ever had a problem with the fans in the hood of a biocube? My outflow fan over the lights was cutting out a few months ago so I ordered a new one from the manufacturer and replaced it. Now the new fan makes an awful buzzing noise when it first comes on in the am and if I don't smack it, it starts emitting a hot smell. The other fan seems just fine. Do you think I have a wiring problem or is it just a fluke that this new fan doesnt work?

I called and got a fan replacement as well. One was buzzing but the other one was never on. Did you run your thumb across the middle to check for play on the new one.

My dad's the one who actually replaced it, since I can't tell one end of a motor from another, but he said he didn't even think about checking for play because it was still in the factory bag, so he assumed it was fine.
