Frogspawn opening up?

So i have 1 head of Frogspawn and it is opening up all the way. Is that a good sign or not? I noticed him doing this first when i had him up closer to my T5's now i put him down on the bed by where my Clowns stay and it is still doing the same thing. Does it mean he isn't getting enough nutrition?

my frogspawn is in the middle of my tank with t5. It always open up when it is happy.

ok so it's a good thing then? I mean it completely opens up it's crazy. I have never seen one do this before.

My Frogspawn is like the image below almost all of the time. The only time it's not fully opened is in the early morning:

So ok what about current? Do they like a lot of current i have a Koralia 2 and it blows almost directly on it. Would it be better off with nothing blowing on it.

they dont like a lot of flow, really you shouldnt have a ph blowing directly on any type of coral (even sps)

They need to flow gently in the water current,

I agree, less direct flow on them would likely be better. Nice random indirect flow is best for most any coral

+1 on the random/indirect. The picture I posted above is in my Aquapod, with a hydor flow.

I have a question about frogspawn and lighting. I have 2x 250 mh 20k bulbs (75g). I currently have the frag pretty high up. Is this optimal, or do most of you keep near the bottom?

It's hard to answer that question because if you acclimate the frogspawn to endure that intense light then it can stay up there put if you took it from a tank that had PC's and stuck it up high in your tank it's not going to like it.

So to answer your question if it isn't all closed up then it will be fine, if it doesn't open in that light lower it down.

IME with euphylia, I have gotten better colors out of them in lower light situations
