Do you have any peppermint shrimp? They eat aptasias and they are fairly inexpensive. Copperbands eat them also. I have a few aptasias in my tank also and am thinking I better do something soon before it is too late.

I had tons in my old tank and Joes Juice killed them off. I added some peppermint shrimp also and haven't had a large break out since. You also have to remember that any livestock will be hit and miss.

Peppermint shrimps are a popular choice but its usually a hit and miss with them and if you go buy a peppermint make sure they are peppermints and not camel shrimps.

Berghia Nudibranchs are also a popular choice

You could also inject them with lemon concentrate or boiling water.

The only distinct difference I know of is if their is a little hump on the back then its a camel.

People also state that the peppermint is usually pink and red while the camel is clear and red.

Maybe someone else could clarify on this

Peppermint shrimp may not eat the larger aiptasia, but should help with the new sprouters

Yes, the hump is where they get the name "camel"

Joes Juice or Aiptasia X hasn't worked for me. I finally tried lemon concentrate and it is definitely getting rid of them.

Camel shrimp have a distinctive hump on there back if you seen the two in a tank together you would definitely be able to tell the difference, camel's also tend to have a little more red stripes.
