where are the bubbles coming from? Sounds like either microbubbles are getting trapped, or there is an issue withthe overflow. You can get it out with a piece of airline hose stuck up there and you suck it out with your mouth. As to preventing it in the future, not sure. The problem is finding the source of why it is being created. The level in the sump is likely getting lower, because the syphon is not working as well, and more water is going up to the DT than is coming down to the sump. This is one common occurance with overflow boxes. Also, what overflow box are you using?
