Uniterruptable Power Supply for Vortech MP-10
Hello,
So I was thinking about pruchasing a Vortech MP-10 and their battery back up unit. Their unit runs for about 160.00 and only backs up the vortech powerhead. So my question is wold it make more sence to purchase a UPS that could back up the MP-10 and the heater in case of a power outage?? If so does anyone have any recomendations for a UPS? Thanks Chad Zenzen

The VorTech battery backup provides 12 volts DC to run the pump at about half speed. With a UPS you'd be running it at normal speed during a power outage, but you'd need a fair sized UPS to keep a heater going for any amount of time.
