55 gal Sump design
Ok, just got a 55 gal to make a sump for my 90 gal. My question is about the design. I'm going to use a skimmer and would like to build a refugium too, should the skimmer come before the fuge so not to skim what the fuge has done? I'm thinking I will have 4 main compartments; overflow, skimmer, rock/fuge and reuturn.
Anyone else have a 55 gal sump and is acrylic good to use as a divider? Thanks.

I have a return pump in the middle section with a fuge and skimmer on either side. Overflows go into the fuge and skimmer area...
But if you only have 1 overflow then do it in the order: skimmer, fuge, return. I have a glass 30 and I used acrylic... Works fine for me.
