A little Skimmer Advise...
Untill now, I've had a 24g stock Aquapod. I just bought a 150g 36x36x27 cube. I plan on running all the pluming down to my basement. So size, space, and noise arn't really an issue. I've been looking at and would like to purchase a skimmer so I can buld my sump to meet the size requirments of the skimmer (building the stand this week.) I've read some posts on the eshopps and see alot of talk about the reef octopus'. Can I really go wrong with picking either one? 150g DT, roughly 40-50g sump/fuge... I dont really have specific goals when it comes to whats going in the DT, so I'm not realy sure about bioload.

Well, I don't have any experience with the eshopps skimmer, so I can not comment on those. But the Reef Octopus has done really well for me. I am quite impressed with this skimmer. I can recommend this, buy a skimmer that is rated for much larger than what you have.
HTH Good luck

I actually just ordered one of these after hearing a ton of info about them. Here's the thread:

I guess I should have changed the Title to "A little Skimmer Advise Needed, please..." Thx for the insight so far.

I think the eshopps(have the psk75H) is a GREAT value skimmer. That being said, on a 200Gallon system, I would not skimp. I'd upgrade a bit either to a reefoctopus, vertex, or i-tech.
