Cloudy Water

I started my new 30gal sunday afternoon and my water is pretty cloudy still this morning, i put in my sand first and rinsed it a little but not too much, then added my water, i have a powerhead running in the tank right now, what do i need to do to make it clear up? thanks

Time. It will take a few days at least to clear up.

I run a cannister with carbon only - but will put filter floss in it every once in a while for a day to clear the tank up.

for future reference how should i start the tank, put in the sand first or the water first etc?

well there will be mixed answers, heres mine, id suggest filling the tank with water, allowing it to get to the proper salinity and temperature, then after a day or 2 when fully oxygenated add cured live rock, leave for 2-3 days until your totally satisfied the final rock layout is looking right for you, when your 100% sure then turn off powerheads and add washed clean sand around the rocks, id suggest 1-1.5 inches of medium grade aragonite.

Current Tank Info: I have a 92 gal Corner Tank, and way too many pieces of equipment to list really, (proud member of the reef central corner club)

thanks alot, how do you wash the sand? the grains are so fine im just not sure how to do it?

I use a bucket and run ro into it then stir sand into it let it stand for about 5 min then pour off the top water, repeat until the water is clean (it takes a while)

yeah I didnt do that so I think its going to take longer for my tank to clear up bc of that.
