MR-2 Skimmer Questions
I was considering this skimmer, as it fits the space and capacity specifications I'm looking for in a new skimmer. I wondered if anybody out there are using these with good results, and how they compare to other skimmers in their price range (Reef Octopus Skimmers maybe).
How about using an external Little Giant 2MDQ-XC 1" fittings (converting them to 3/4" fittings to accomodate) 770gph non pressure rated pump for feeding this skimmer. Am I just asking for trouble trying to get by with this setup? What about a Mag 9.5? (these are the two spare pumps I have laying around) Any suggestions, other skimmers, consideratios? etc?

If this is for your 120 I would grab a xp2000 for the same price.

Yeah it's for the 120. That is the other skimmer I was considering, actually I wanted an external skimmer, but that one seems like it would fit in sump. Do you think as rated at 200 gall average capacity means I could have a heavily stocked 120?
Man, that cone skimmer is looking better and better now that I think about it...

Yeah, it would be great for a stocked 120.
