NEW T5 bulbs today and PAGODA hides???
90 gal bowfront mixed reef. Added new bulbs today to my light (6x54w). Tank is 6 months old and bulbs that came w/light were junk. Also added a NEW 24" 2 bulb/48 watt light to the (front/bow) part of the tank.
New bulbs & light made the tank pop (thanks Grim). Pagoda cup is at top of tank and has been doing great/full polyp extension UNTIL today. However with new bulbs and new added light polyps have not come out. Too much light? Needs time to adjust? New bulbs/configuation freaking it out? Can they get too much light? |

I would put some egg crate and 3 window screens over the tank to provide some shade. Remove one every 4-5 days.

I was just discussing this with a friends bowfront . I always thought the lighting for the bowfronts were a poor design. The lighting is set too far back so the fish and corals are sort of shadowed. Now that you have the smaller light above the bow , the light is reflecting off everything ,towards the viewers. I can imagine it is lit up like a Xmas tree now! Any pics of your pagoda?
