Please tell me what this might be

im sorry i dont have pics, i tried but its soo small

now what "it" is i belive to be a small clam, i have a rock with some mushrooms but attached to this rock is an old clam shell, i assume long dead, since it was pulled off the reef, but off the side of this clam shell what looks to be a small clam is growing, just two small shells, inside i can see some tissue, and when i gently blew some current with a turkey baister the tissue pulled back a little, also last night my brother had said it was almost closed up

i guess what my question is, is it possible for this to be a clam? its the only thing i can think of especially because its growing off a clam shell

There is probably about 20 visible oysters or clams in my tank that grew off the rock after about a year of nothing. It's definitely possible, but it's hard to tell exactly what it is without a picture.

I know this won't help you with an ID but your description of how it is attached to an old shell reminded me of something I read. I've been doing some research on oysters and an intersting thing they have found is that oyster larvae settle on other oyster shells are much more successful than when they settle on any other substrate. That is why oysters are usually found in huge clumps that look like reefs.
