Please vote Vortech selections for rimless cube

Tank will be 36" x 36" x 24" Tall rimless. Sps dominated bare bottom. I may hide a korallia or two in the back under the rockwork to help keep detritus where I want it for easy siphoning but mainly concerned where with the choice and # of vortechs reccomended for this size tank. I am sort of hoping I can avoid 2x MP40's but that was what I thought initially.

Does the fact that it is 3ft not 4ft long mean I could get away with say an mp40 + mp10 ? Two mp10's ?

I voted 2xMP40 because that is what I have and I wouldn't want any less in there. Especially if you have bare bottom. You can really let them rip.

Another vote for 2 MP40w. It's nice to have the MP40w's because you can assign one as a master and one as a slave and use them in sync/anti-sync mode. If you don't want to use the sync/anti-sync, you can always get 2 mp20s. IMO MP10 would be too small for that deep (36") of a tank

Yeah I was thinking that the barebottom would mean I can crank the flow, which is important anyways in keeping detritus suspended in a BB system. D2mini I will be looking at your build !

Doing a 36 x 30 x 24, and I have 2 MP-40ws. If you're going to get 2 vortechs, might as well be MP-40s. You can always turn them down, but at least they can work together, unlike a MP-40w with a MP-20/MP-10.
