Plumbing the fuge. Single return pump?

In the process of setting up a 45g cube with a refugium and a sump. I have been planning on using a single Mag or 7 as both my return to the tank and my feed for the fuge. Are there any disadvantages to using a single pump? I plan on T-ing off the return and adding a valve before the fuge. That way the valve will control the fuge flow and all the rest of the water will go to the display.

Are there any major problems with doing this this way? Should I be looking to use a second pump? IMO the fewer pumps the better, correct?

yes it will work fine tee it off with a tee. have a ball valve going from the tee into your fuge so you regulate the flow going into the fuge.

The less gadgets in your tank, the less heat will be produced.
