quick MH question

Is the MH bulb supposed to look like picture 1, or picture 2 when it's completely screwed into the socket? I just replaced my bulb and bought a new mogul socket and the bulb seems to fit different. It used to look like picture 1 when it was screwed in, now it looks like picture 2. Does it really matter? The bulb fires up fine. Thanks

You want the nipple on on the inner tube pointing up. It will affect the color if its not. Or at least 90 degrees. Most important is to make sure both bulbs are oriented the same to get even color.
