MH retro for canopy with limited room?

I would like to add 2x250w MHs to my 90g using my current canopy since it is custom and matches my stand. Trying to figure out the best way since I only have about 7 inches of clearance between the inside and the water. Any ideas on how to go about it?

I don't know if cutting holes in the top is an option you are willing to do, but you can have the reflectors bottom flush with the top of the canopy. I do it on mine cause I dont liek the imposing size of some canopies, and it looks great. I dont have pics, but this is RC member BigJays- mine is very similar.

Here you can see the VHO actinics and all three faceted reflectors with glass covers.

Here are the pendants with the canopy closed.
