Neptune Aquacontroller Junior feedback??

Search function is down again and I am trying to research controllers. I just have a 55 at the moment, but would like something I could potentially use for an upgrade tank down the road. At the same time, I don't feel the need to spend an arm-and-a-leg.
Anyone have any feedback on this Neptune Junior controller? Or alternative/better suggestions?

I had one for a year. Its a good controller. You can connect it to your computer with a serial cable then use the free version of Aquanotes to program it or graph data.

I would strongly recommend saving a few more bucks up and splurging on a apex light tho. It is a much more modern controller, with web interface built in. Just plug it into your home network, or use a wireless game router if you dont want to run Cat5.

+1. If you're gonna shell out the bucks give yourself room for an upgrade. I think you get more value out of the apex by far. Having the internet capabilities is worth it's weight in gold. IMO.

For the price I would look into a Reefkeeper Lite. $99 new. I just saw one nearly new in the sale forum for $80. It is also expandable, however only to 4 addon units. They do have an upgrade from the RKL to RKE package, which actually turns out being comparable to buying the RKE to begin with, you just don't have to shell out the cash upfront, you do so as you see fit to upgrade.

IMO a RKL is nice, but it definatly isn't comparable to an ACJR (hence the price difference). I owned/used both and definatly prefer Neptune products. Good Luck!
