Question treating w/maracyn

Hello, I think my flame angel has a bacterial infection(pop-eye,and fin rot).Has anyone ever treated with this medication? Will it harm my corals and inverts if I add it directly to the tank? Thanks for any advise you can give.

It is erythromycin.

I never use antibiotics in a reef tank so I can't say its impact on inverts. It is expensive to use in a large DT for one thing.

This antibiotics is mild on nitrification and usually give some nitrite but not much ammonia. I often use it in QT with nitrification.
