Ushio lamp question - confused

I've noticed some confusion on these lamps based on the ballast I'm using. I have magnetic M57 ballasts and am currently running Iwasaki 15K lamps but want to change to Ushio 10K lamps. I prefer a warmer, sunnier look, so that long with the high PAR values from Sanjay's website are what's swaying my decision.

Now for the confusion:

1.) Sanjay's website says that these bulbs can be run with my ballast no problem which is what I want to hear.
2.) The Reefkeeping Magazine "Facts of Life..." http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2007-03/sj/index.php article states that the Ushio bulbs are "recommended" to be run with a M137 / M152 pulse start ballast which is what's confusing to me.

I'm not an expert with electricity or their components, but I would really like to know if I can run the Ushios on my ballast.

Thanks in advance for any help!
