Can somebody I.D this coral for me?

not real sure what it is. I have a buddy who has a reef tank and decided he would give it to me. I just Set my tank up a week and a half ago. The coral seem to be doing good as of right now but im still new. Also here is another picture of a diatom bloom. can i just let this do its thing and it will eventually go away or is it going to threaten my coral? what are some of your guys ways of getting rid of the diatoms? thanks

The first pic.. thats button coral. I also have them. They spread like weeds!!!!!! I'm constantly cutting them back. I also pluck them and place them on little rocks, let them grow and then sell them.

Wait for the cycle to be over and the diatom will go away. It happens in all new tanks.
