chiller has not stopping running

has been chilling for hours now and the temputure has not gone below 80 and i have it set to 78. its in the low 80 in my room i think.

One of the refrigerant lines into the barrel should be warm and the other cold

Same thing happened to me a while back. The small fan that cools the unit had broken away from it's housing. Use a desk fan to blow air through the unit and see if it begins cooling again. Worked like a charm for me.

I would say if it was a fan problem the chiller would not continue to run my fan went bad and it would try to run but overheat and shut down if the fans running and no heat is being made could be compressor or freon leak

exhuast air does not feel too hot,its the morning now and is still going. Before i hooked up the chill i was trying to fit it side ways under my tank stand, but after much of fliping it side way and trying to get in the way i wanted it i just ended up have it stick out of my stand. could i have broke some thing its brand new ?

how many hp is unit compared to tank vol it could be to small to cool down tank always go with a little bigger size unit to cool down tank

it is big enough whats your flow rate going through chiller and have you tried turning it off awhile and back on maybe hopfully it will reset itself

Thats plenty i have a 1/4 on a 150 id say if its under warranty send it back ounds like a bad compressor or it leaked its freon how many gph of water you have going through it that can make a difference

Make sure you have the input and output correct and if possible run more water flow through i think mine is aroung 600gph that may be your prob

I would also pull the plug let it set for awhile then fire back up reset the temp and try it again if nothing id say its a defective unit
