maybe a local reefer has some they could give you. Stay away from the TiggerPods as they are cool water and won't last long, if you were just trying to feed an inhabitant they are fine but not good for starting a population. You can get some online but the cost might be prohibitive when you factor in shipping, unless you are ordering other live items.

I tried adding Tigger-Pods to my 'fuge a couple of times. $40 wasted IMO.

The tigger pods from reef nutrition? The little red guys that run all around the bottle?

I added one bottle of those a few months ago and they are everywhere.

Heaters kick on at 77, cooling fans on at 80. Typicall runs about 78.

My fuge and frag tank are full of them. I've never seen any in my display. I'm assuming because my fish eat them.

I was just cleaning the glass of my fuge earlier and I was watching them scurry around the glass as I mowed a few dozen of them over.

Bottled pods = super gimick.

Get a wad of chaeto from the store or from a local buddy. That will have more pods than any bottle of pods ever.

The only reason I bought tigger pods was because I've only ever seen Isopods in my tank and I'm a huge fan of bio diversity. For the most part you're right though, if someone has a nice & healthy tank then they'll have cheato that's full of life.

I also dose phytoplankton. That might be another reason my Tigger pods are taking off. Do any of you that have trouble keeping tigger's dose phyto?

+1 for Reefs2go, they send you a mix of Amphipods and Copepods. Just got mine last week and put them in my fuge and I am already seeing them in my fishless DT.

I didn't buy any and I haven't boughten any chaeto and my 2 month old tank is alive with them all over especially at night. However, I'll see some scurrying during the day.> There must be alot to see them with the light on...

I have been dosing phytoplankton every 3 days or so for the last 4 weeks I've had my feather duster. Plus I wasn't feeding until Sunday, so I figured it would be good for the inverts. Maybe phytoplankton spurs "pod" population growth to eat up the excess phyto?
