lighting question 2 48" t8's or 2 24 inch 65 watt each?
I have a 55 gal reef and a 55 gal predator. i have one 48" light with a t8 atnic and a 50/50 on the predator and i have four 24" 65 watt coralife fixtures with 4 pin bulbs on the reef. would the t8's which are 40 watts each be better than the 2 24 inch 65 watt each 4 pin bulbs? that would mean having 2 of the 65 watt fourpins on the reef with the 48" t8's also and having the other 2 24 inch fourpins on the predator. sorry for the confusion, but not sure how else to put it. ha
Thanks |

I would use all the PCs for the reef...I'm pretty sure they put out more light than the T8s would.

I would just stick with the 4x65 pc's on the reef. That's enough to keep most coral, aside from acros and clams, and you wouldn't have to make any changes.
