Accidently cut my feather duster in half
umm. i had a around 8" long feather duster. He had curled up under a rock and i was moving him and he accidently broke in half...
If he wasn't dead already, did i just kill it? Are they like earth worms, break one in half you now have two? Should I just pull him out... |

cool. So, you're suggesting leave both halves in??
Do the tubes decay / pollute the water at all? I'm fine leaving both halves, provided he doesn't pollute anything.... LOL |

You could leave it all in there but the upper part of the tube is not where the worm is....

I was trying to move mine about a month ago and it wasnt letting go. I ended up pulling the tube off of the worm. I figured it was a goner but it is already as good as new. Evidently they are pretty resilient.

Yeah, I see parts of his feathers wiggling in the waterflow. I actually saw the worm part out a while ago too.. He was pushing or moving himself, not sure. But then he went back in the top half of the tube. And the feathers are wriggling. I'm guessing he doesn't like the fact I destroyed half his home... Oh well, he'll have to build a new one! He's still alive in there, pretty skiddish about coming out though!
