I think it is a Scotts fairy wrasse (Cirrhilabrus scottorum).

just had a look at the links & I'm convinced mine is different, unless i have a juv that changes colour, then maybe your right. however mine has 2 yellow blobs either side off gills & no black on fins either, a lot more pinkie reddish colour, than that deep red colouration with the dark black fin. very similar apart from that cheers....

I'm not positive, but it sure looks like a Scott's to me as well. I have a Scott's fairy Wrasse and its coloring doesn't look exactly like any of the three in the liveaquaria picture and mine came from them. Also if there is no female their colors change as well.

They are quite variable in color, some due to location, sex, age etc.

okay you have a scotts fairy wrasse there and a nice one at that .the picture is a bit blurry as you know so it also could be a velvet wrasse or orange flanked fairy wrasse .

Keep your tank covered with egg crate or bird netting. they are jumpers. I had one jump three times. The first two times I was able to save it. Not so much the third time.

I have one that looks very similar that I got from my LFS. I don't think it's a scotts. I think it is a yellow-flanked fairy wrasse: http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/p...42&pcatid=2242
