Cool Sump Size Question

I'm setting up a 125gal w/a 29gal refugium in a house we bought w/expensive wood floors (I never thought I'd have a house w/wood floors, but here I am). I want to go w/a big sump as a precaution for overflow problems. If I get a Eshopps 35gal (36"l x 14"w x 16"h) would there be enough water level for my skimmer to work? Can I adjust it if not? I want the larger capacity as my current 90gal w/20gal refugium sump is about 1" from the rim w/pumps turned off.

Thanks.

Is that as large as you can fit for this tank? I'd look at something bigger, I used an 80 gallon sump (I ran about 40 gallons nominally) for my 150 gallon setup.

How much height do you have in the stand? I always picture a simple (find the everywhere) 55g under a 125g. The only problem is the 21" of height. The nice part though is that it hold a lot of overflow.

The Eshopps are nice. I own one. I'd suggest getting one made by John @ Advance Acrylics though; 10x better quality for equal $!
