From what I can tell, all of my hair algae has gone away and been replaced by chaetomopha. BTW, bumping my stock list ideas, any advice (would this seem at least reasonable, anything you would add or change?) is welcome

I saw this thread. it gets a little angry here and there but has some good ideas (http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...5&pagenumber=4) and it got me thinking about draining a plenum (Controlled Plenum Wasting) under my DSB. I'm thinking I may switch tanks, another topic I have some questions on, to a 33 long. I'm going to do this primarily because I didn't realize they made a tank w/ these dimensions when I got the 20. The 33 fits my desk perfectly, though the desk itself may need some bracing to take 400 pounds. Plus I can drill the new tank and setup the plenum from the start.
How much of a problem am I going to have transferring from one tank to another. It'll probably screw up my cycle but, I need to practice patience anyhow.

Here in Florida the water temp in summer easy reaches 85.
We have a lot of zoes that grow here and most are at the top of the column some are even out of the water during the low tides. Zoes in most cases love light, can tolerate "bad " water and high water movement. They will compete but do not seem to kill for space in most cases. They are a softie so they seem to need more alk than calcium. We have a local variety that is a pale blue and pink that sells in Japan for 100.00 an inch. So be ready and don't be surprized. Rim of fire 's from Indonesia can go very high too. Mine chased some aptasia away from themselves and thrive under P/C's

Good to know I'm in the safe range. Those tolerance levels sound good. I think I can find a few to fit my budget too, might take a few more weeks though.
On another note, I saw a chunk of LR in the LFS with what looks like little bitty (1 inch) feather dusters. The sales person told me they were a pest, but I can't find any info on them online after a few searches. Can anyone guess what I'm talking about and show me some info?
