It would be nice to see two pics to compare. One with the standard bulbs that come with the fixture and onw with replacement bulbs.

One of the actinic broke in shipping I planned replacing the bulbs from the beginning so I never bothered replacing it. This is stock alternating 10K and actinic except for the last slot which is empty. The bulbs in this photo are: ATI Blue plus ATI Blue plus UV Actinic White ATI blue Plus KZ Figi purple ATI Blue plus The only difference in bulbs in this photo are that the UV Actinic white was swapped with a ATI aqua-blue special in slot three I'm sticking with the third configuration. Yes I know its bare its a new set-up and I'm taking my time. |

Very nice. I like the look of both pics. I kind of like how the light hangs above the tank. I always thought about using the legs, but the hangers look nice. Where do you have it hanging from?

That seems just a little too blue for me, but beautiful all the same.

I just bought the 6 bulb 36inch fixture. Only difference is that i am in Canada and have to pay double what you guys pay even though our dollar is at par. I will take some pictures when it arrives. I would really love to see some PAR readings to see how it compares to a tek or nova fixture.

I have the 36" 4 bulb fixture and love it. The digital timer and single cord are a convenience that I couldn't do without any more. I'm sure the 6 bulb fixtures have the same craftsmanship and quality.

I am just waiting on the PAR test, mine should be in soon and i want to make sure it was smart to switch from the nova extreme pro to this 6 bulb unit.

Mine just arrived today and i really like it. It has a great build quality to it and the led's ad a slight shimmer to the water. Overall the fixture isn't visibly a whole lot brighter then my old nova extreme pro but the human eye is not a very good judge of par. One thing i really like is that the bulbs sit tight to the reflectors and the light does not merge together and have a lot of re strike. Instead it is very easy to see each individual bulb color. They built in timer is very hand and the fan is of good quality. I will take some pictures tomorrow of the tank. I would really like to see some par ratings for these fixtures but I do not have access to the equipment to test it.

Those look pretty interesting and price is pretty good. Anyone know how wide are those reflectors?

What do you mean exactly "how wide are the reflectors". The 36 inch fixture is 13.5 inches wide and each bulb cleary has its own reflector and there is no restrike from each bulb. The bulbs sit very deep in the reflectors and the overal design appears to be much better then the nova extreme pro. The leds are very strong, they are the 1 watz version and produce a lot of shimmer and make the colors pop when you run them when all of the lights are off. I really would like to get some par ratings to compare to other fixture.

Considering the 24" for my Red Sea Max 130. What do you think is a ideal T5 bulb set up for a 4 bulb fixture? Thanks

Can any one tell me if this fixture would be okay for my 72 bow as far as the feet layout. The sides of my tank are only 12.75 inches front to back and I noticed that the fixture feet base was 13.5.
I may consider hanging it.
