Bubble Magus Skimmers any good?

I am looking for a skimmer for my 125 gallon mixed reef tank. Are these Bubble Magus skimmers any good? Which one would be good for my setup?

There is a 60+ page thread all about Bubble Magus.

For your tank I would run the NAC7 cone skimmer.

Go for a SWC 160 cone skimmer. Better construction. The bubble plate on the 160 cone is much better on the 160 cone. People are also having issues with the pin wheels that come on the NAC7. The hybrid mesh wheels on the SWX 160's are great and havn't heard any startup or rotation issues. I have had one for 2 months and the skimmer kicks butt.

I agree with Reefobsession, Bubble Magus used to be affordable but not anymore, go with SWC they are better value. for example SWC Xtreme 200 is $289, Bubble Magus's BM200P is $459. Same pump, same body diameter, $170 difference.

You can get the SWC 160 cone for a little bit more $25 with really good customer service. PM me your email and I will send you a link where to get the SWC 160. Reefcentral will block it if I post on here or through PMs.
The bubble magus skimmers are good skimmers, but there are some flaws in the pump impeller and the bubble plate is to small on the NAC7.
