I have wood floors: I need a mat or something similar to place under aquarium stand

I'm finally getting my tank set up. Being that I have wood floors, can anyone suggest a mat or something I can place under the stand so my wood floors don't get messed up? I had a piece of linoleum cut but it curls on the edges. I tried to tape it down to the floor but it looks hideous.

I bought a small area rug for my laminate floor and then put a rubber area rug pad under it (some carpet stores will cut down carpet and bind it so it looks like an area rug and is the size you want). I had it under my 90 gal and the hang on skimmer broke and dumped lots of water a couple of times which didn't do any damage under the tank that I noticed when I replaced the tank. Although I am having trouble up to 2 ft away from the tank because of my fish spitting and splashing whenever they get mad or hungry, which for my puffer is always.

I bought cork floor tiles and put these between my wood floor and the tank. Cork is shock and water resistant and will never rot.

You can pick these up at Home Depot or Lowes.. Oddly enough they weren't sold in the flooring section, but in the cabinetry section.

Shower pan liner, it's basically a rubber sheet. Cut it to fit.

I never bothered with a mat. Figured if I had a spill could easily wipe it up.

If I have a mat or something, had a spill and water got between it and the hard wooden, I'd be worse off.

I saw an article on reef builders showing a product called Dri-Dek. Seems pricey, but would be cheaper than replacing a hardwood floor. Google it for more info.

I have a DIY aquarium stand for my 110g and I just used stick on felt from Home Depot. I put it on all the edges around the stand with some gaps because ventilation could be accomplished if ever a little water ever gets to the bottom.
