Misc !
1)This is the order in which amount of waste (ammonia , NO3 etc) is produced: Highest producers first:
Fish, inverts , corals. 2) Do corals produce wastes? 3) Are there hardy inverts that can tolerate wild swings in water quality? If so pls advice which ones? ( recently 2 hermits died in my tank and no3 was only 20ppm) 4) Are all feather dusters hardy? Thanks Kris

1.An organism can only produce as much waste as you feed it. If you feed your corals heavily, they are going to produce lots of waste.
2. Yes corals produce waste. All animals do. 3. Why would you want to subject any inverts to wild water quality swings? Take care of your tank and that won't happen. If the conditions are ideal, you don't need to worry about which ones are more sensitive (with the exception of animals that actually require extra care such as non-photosynthetic corals) 4. Depends on your definition of hardy. I don't know of any extra sensitive ones. |

you have a 55g tank so a 10g every other week water change should keep you water in pretty good shape, not hard to do either.
