biocube sump?

hi,
I have a 29 gallon biocube thats been running for about nine months.I am not happy with the biocube skimmer,it has now stopped working and it is a pain to change the airstone. The problem is that no other skimmer fits into the biocube.
would it be worth it to get a custom tank for the sump?(only 5 1/2 gallon fits)
is this the only way to get a different skimmer?
should i add a refugium to the sump?
also what skimmer would you recommend?
thank you so much for your help,
fish77

Thank you Ecoknvl but I had brought the Aqauticlife 115 Mini Skimmer before the biocube skimmer and it did not fit.

Would a HOB skimmer or refugium w/skimmer work?
Adding a ext. overflow (for sump) often causes problems.

Fish77,

adding a sump to a Biocube without doing any modifications to the cube itself is very difficult. I had one for a year and added a sump. Search nano-reef forum for my name and you will see some options, but as I said, very difficult.

hope it helps,
Marian
