Anyone using BRS carbon? (and 2 part)

I need to order some carbon and I thought of trying out their highest quality carbon.

I also liked the idea of their 2-part starter kits. They include a magnesium part that I've never dosed or tested for before. And also I wanted the gallon jugs they have instead of empty milk jugs. More durable.

I've been using Randy's 2-part for a while, is this about the same thing? Same concentration and will be dosing the same amount etc.

Anyway, does BRS offer quality product and would you recommend them?

I've been using their 2 part also. It's made a huge difference in my tank. I'm also about to order their reactor and the ROx carbon. I've read tons of great things about it.

I use their two part (which is actually three: Ca, Alk, & Mg). I also have one of their dual media reactors and a doser. Both quality products. The two part recipe instructions on the web site make it very easy.

I've been using BRS GAC, GFO, MgCl, NaHCO3 and CaCl since I started and have been quite happy. I did try their ROX carbon but had some issues with my 2LF reactor. The ROX particles are really small and I found they tended to clog the pads in the reactor. I ended up going back to their standard carbon.

I get everything i can from them. I prefer the Lignite carbon over the Rox it doesn't clog as quick, unless of course you change really often.

They are my goto company as well.

If they don't stock it, I find myself questioning if I even need it.

I have bought a ton of stuff from BRS, and it is always great stuff. Since you are in WI, I suspect you will get your stuff overnight as long as you order by 2pm as well.

I use both there carbon and 2 part. I wouldnt recommend the highest carbon. Its too small and gets into everything.

I thought about getting a dual media reactor and run their GFO and carbon in it. I've been trying MB7 and vodka for GHA but it doesn't really help and red slime occurs.

The video on their site of the dual media reactor, the guy claims the carbon side gets clogged and needs to be maintained in order to keep the GFO side tumbling. Do you have any problems with this? Particularly the ROX 0.8 carbon. Instead of MB7/vodka I'm thinking of going back to using GFO.
