Upgrading Current Outer Orbit ballasts?

So here it is. I've got a 36"x21"x18" tank (exact same dimensions as the illuminata rimless) set up peninsula style sticking out into the room. Right now I have the 36" current USA 2x 150w MH 4x 39w T5 in there, but I haven't really been satisfied with the power of the 150s. I really wanted to give the 150w DE Radiums a go, but this thing runs on electronic ballasts, so it wouldn't run them very well. I've been tinkering around with the idea of replacing the ballast but I've never done anything like that before. Has anybody ever done anything like that on the Outer Orbit fixtures? Also, what ballast would everybody recommend for 150w DE bulbs that would also drive Radiums at the correct spec?

Are your ballads internal on that fixture?
Mine were external and was
An easy upgrade, you can always run external and just run or buy new wires and wire it up... Offhand don't know how handy you are with electric?

They're internal Sunpark 120-MH150s. Not very experienced, but my roommate is pretty handy with that and between the two of us I'm sure we can figure it out when it comes time to actually doing it. What would be involved in wiring up a new ballast? 1/2 of my problem is figuring out which ballasts to put in there. I would prefer something adjustable just in case I upgrade systems years down the road
