Super reef octopus 5000, is good?

Hello everybody!

I am considering buying a 5000 internal super reef octopus, with the model with internal pump. What do you say it is a good skimmer?

I saw that in some stores, they recommend up to 300 gallons and another up to 500 gallons.

I wonder if he is really good. Compared with the BBK pump octopus is good right??

Thank´s

I have been running my SRO-5000 now for about 8 months. By far the best skimmer I have had on this system yet. That list includes: ETSS, ASM and Reeflo.

Ddevlin,
SRO has the BB 500 pump on it correct? And it has a 10" diameter body, can you tell me what size neck it has. The reason I am asking is because I am wondering if I could use the BB 5000 to replace my Vertex IN 280 skimmer pump. My skimmer has a 10" diameter body with 5" neck. Thanks in advance.

Noel

Good night!

I thank those who have posted their comments. I will probably buy even this skimmer!

Something against it be internal or external pump, but all in sump?

He shows a system with 2,000 gallons of water? For according to the manufacturer, the pump injects 2400 l / h of air.

Thanks!

I have a Xp-5000 external on my 180 SPS tank and 2 on my 675 mixed reef, and frankly it is the best skimmer I have ever seen. It makes my old Reeflo with all the modes look like a piece of junk.
