Ranco Single Stage

Quick Question:

I just bought a Tradewind Chiller....excellent chiller and customer service. Anyway it came with a Ranco Single Stage Controller. When I set it up, I set it up at 77 degrees with 1 degree difference.

I noticed that the chiller cycles on and cylces off rather quickly. Chiller will run for 5-10 minutes and then cycle off. I heard this was bad for the chiller.

My question:

Should I increase the temperature so that it takes longer for the chiller to turn on? Or...Should I increase the difference to be 2 degrees?

Thanks
