workhorse 7 and t5
Just working in a few ideas here-
looking to add 2 or 3 80w T5s, and I have a WH7 ballast. It puts out 220 watts- what would the results be if I either over (2 bulbs-110w each) or under (3 bulbs 73w each) drove these bulbs- I am leaning toward 2 due to space constraints- will this fry the bulbs? |

I believe it pulls a maximum of 220w. Two 80w bulbs would probably be ok (someone else can confirm), however note that most of the experts recommend NOT running T5's on workhorses as they don't fire T5's perfectly. It can lead to decreased bulb life. If you're just using them for supplementation, no major issues.
