300gal in wall
i'm just getting back into aquariums ...I have a spot setup in the basement to build a false wall and a "fish" room
I plan on a large sump with a herbie drain and now i am looking at close loop ideas I havent ordered the aquarium yet and plan on going thru glasscages.com...i live in hutchinson kansas if anyone knows a cheaper or a closer place let me know since i havent ordered it yet and still in the planning stages very unsure were to drill the holes and how many for a close loop...i would like to conceal most of them but i want good water movement across the tank any sugestions would be nice and any type of pump that could move enough water to get good flow also if i go w/ an OM what version would i want Thxs guys and will post pictures as the build progresses |

You may want to consider putting the tank in front of the wall and opening up the wall in back for access when needed. You will need to access the front glass for cleaning and arranging the display. That is hard to do if the front glass is flush with the wall. Also, having the top of the wall opening directly over the tank will make it hard to control moisture in the wall.
You can see what I did in my "hole in the wall" gallery pictures. Mine is just a 120 but you could do the same kind of thing.
