Clowns hosting yellow buttons

I have a pair of clowns hosting my colony of yellow buttons. It's a very large colony of over a hundred polyps. I know clowns host all kinds of weird things but my buttons haven't really opened up in a week. I'm getting a little worried about them. Will they adjust to the clowns?

Clowns will host almost anything rocks included. The buttons are probably not okay and should be moved asap. Can't help much with an another someting for the clowns to host.

knowing zoas/polyps, i think you should move them. they almost always close with any contact, and if your clowns are being hosted, there will be a lot of contact

I had clowns host in a huge clump of weedy brown/green zoos once. The zoos didn't mind so much though (stayed mostly open). And since I didn't care about the zoos, there they stayed. I'm purposely not keeping clowns in my new 29 however - because of this specific annoyance.
