Mag Pump with a TurboFlotor Skimmer
My Ocean Runner 2500 broke but I have a brand new Mag 7 pump in the garage. Has anyone used this pump with a TurboFlotor skimmer? Dont want to buy the impeller for the Ocean Runner since the price is way too steep.

I using a mag2 on mine with very poor performence. When I had the rio on there it skimmed like crazy. Real nasty dark skimate. Now, it won't do anything. I'm conteplating going back to the rio. I also modded the impeller on the mag but it doesn't seem to be helping either.

I ended up buying a venturi adapter for a mag pump 5. I get tons of bubbles now but I have to tweak it because it was overflowing too much. It works great!

I cut the stock impeller like this. I just took it out and cut bigger slots. I'll have to wait to see if it works.
Can you buy just the venturi adapter for the pump? Where? I'm getting pretty frustrated this thing. |
