CUC before fish/coral?
All, is it ok to add my CUC prior to any bioload? Tank just finished cycling. Also, what are your suggestions for a CUC for a 70G with 70 lbs live rock and about a 2 inch sand bed? I have looked on live aquaria for their reef cleaner packages, but unsure what a good mix or how many of each would be. I have heard that mixing hermits and snails is bad because hermits like to "upgrade". I have kept both in the past and have noticed a few snails go AWOL.

Now is the time to keep ich out too. I'd add CUC when tank is done cycling and go 8weeks after adding CUC before adding any fish. That way cyst/spores from ich won't survive after hatching because they won't have a host. Then QT your fish.

So ich usually hitchhikes on CUC? BTW, 8 more weeks is going to kill my 9 year old marine biologist...

just set up a QT in a couple weeks, and put some fish in there for 4 weeks. that should keep her busy for a little while.
